Your priorities
Choose three things that matter most to you: the setting, the food, the atmosphere, the photographs, the music or time with your guests. Use these to guide where you spend.
The Party Social wedding edit
Whether you already live in the UAE or are travelling here for a destination wedding, your day should feel like you. This guide brings together the practical decisions and finishing touches that help your plans take shape, one step at a time.
A little inspiration. A useful checklist. Room for your own ideas.
Start with the checklist
01 / Begin with what matters
You do not need every detail decided before you begin. Start with these three anchors and let the rest follow.
Choose three things that matter most to you: the setting, the food, the atmosphere, the photographs, the music or time with your guests. Use these to guide where you spend.
Choose a likely guest range and shortlist venues. Ask what furniture, linens and tableware the venue already provides before planning additional rentals.
Decide whether you will use a planner, plan yourselves or ask for coordination on the day. Check whether your budget allows for a full-service planner, partial planning or coordination on the day. Compare proposals and clarify what is included. Agree who manages supplier timings, setup and collection.
Keep one shared folder for inspiration, supplier proposals, your guest list and the latest floor plan. A small, edited moodboard is more useful than hundreds of saved images.
02 / One step at a time
Use this as a starting point, not a deadline. If your wedding is closer, combine the stages and focus first on the venue, key suppliers and logistics.
03 / Make it feel like you
Choose a base colour, one or two supporting shades and a finish such as gold, silver, wood or clear glass. Consider your venue’s existing colours and the lighting you will have on the day.
Ivory, champagne and a restrained gold accent. Layer texture through linens, glassware and soft florals.
Blush, cream and sage. Balance delicate colours with simple shapes and natural greenery.
White, deep green and a crisp dark accent. Use clean lines and one statement detail.
Start with the table shape and linen, then add chairs, place settings, glassware, napkins and centrepieces. Leave space for food service and conversation. Ask to see samples together before making final choices.
These palettes are inspiration, rather than fixed packages. Your choices can be tailored to your venue and preferences.

Include the welcome area, signing table, cake table, gift table, bars and lounge seating in your plan. Each may need its own furniture, linen or décor.
Confirm table dimensions, the linen drop you prefer and the chairs that suit your layout. Count place settings and glassware by service needs, and discuss spare quantities with your caterer.
Allow for service routes, accessible circulation, the dance floor and any stage. Check that tall centrepieces do not block views or conversation.
Check loading access, lifts, setup and removal windows, and any venue requirements for installations. Agree who sets up each element and who checks it before guests arrive.
Planning tools provide a starting estimate. Confirm final requirements with your venue, caterer and suppliers.
05 / Around the wedding day
These celebrations are entirely optional. Choose the ones that suit your plans, your traditions and the people you want around you.
Think about the mood, guest numbers and whether you want a relaxed lunch, a styled dinner or a playful celebration. A small tablescape or personalised detail can be enough.
A gathering for travelling guests can be simpler than the main wedding. Consider relaxed seating, clear arrival information and a few touches that introduce your wedding palette.
If part of your celebrations, plan the seating, space for entertainment and styling around the activities you want. Give each event its own atmosphere while keeping a connecting detail.
Keep it comfortable and easy to host. Confirm the guest count, seating and service needs separately, and ask whether any rental pieces can be used again within the agreed hire period.
06 / Look after your guests
You may already live in the UAE, or be travelling here for your wedding. Either way, consider where your guests are coming from. Clear information and a few thoughtful plans help everyone feel at ease.
Use local venue visits and supplier appointments to refine your plans. If guests are arriving from overseas, share accommodation, transfers and optional activities early. You can keep arrangements simple for guests who already live nearby.
Secure the venue and key suppliers ahead of travel, and identify a reliable local planner or coordinator if your budget allows. Arrange virtual consultations or a planning visit, confirm setup responsibilities and share a clear itinerary before everyone arrives.
Keep the date, venue, schedule, dress code, RSVP details and guest contact in one place. Add accommodation suggestions, transport information and optional activities. Keep private event details accessible only to invited guests where your chosen platform supports it.
Share hotel options at different price points and ask about group rates or room blocks. Make booking deadlines clear. Explain airport transfers and transport between accommodation and wedding events, including what guests arrange themselves.
Offer a few optional ways to spend time together: a welcome meal, a sightseeing outing, a relaxed beach or pool day, or a next-day brunch. Consider different ages, interests and energy levels, and leave guests free time too.
State which events are hosted and which activities guests pay for themselves. Gather RSVPs for organised outings, book suitable venues or transport ahead, and provide a local contact for questions. A destination planner or coordinator can help manage these details.
Think through arrival, hotel check-in, getting to each event and the journey home. Share one clear itinerary through your wedding website rather than scattering updates across messages.
